TOKYO, July 27 -- Takanori Nagase of Japan claimed victory in men's -81kg category, winning the host nation's fifth gold in judo at Tokyo Olympics, while French judoka Clarisse Agbegnenou dominated in women's -63kg on Tuesday.

Xinhua News Agency reported in men's -81kg final, Nagase scored a waza-ari over Saeid Mollaei of Mongolia with a golden score, while Shamil Borchashvili of Austria and Matthias Casse of Belgium gained bronze medals in the category.

Agbegnenou won women's -63kg gold in a fast-paced final, defeating Tina Trstenjak of Slovenia by a waza-ari. The bronze medals went to Italian Maria Centracchio and Canadian Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard.

In the round of 32, Chinese female judoka Yang Junxia lost to Magdalena Krssakova of Austria by an ippon.

"I thought I was well-prepared, but winning or losing a game was just in a blink, it was really a pity," said the 32-year-old veteran, saddled with disappointment.
